Le Roy Dennis Paulson (aka "The Swede"): born Le Roy Dennis Samuelson on May 8, 1905, Willow River, Minnesota; changed last
name in 1940; while with U.S. Navy, travelled through Panama Canal in 1924; worked as flight radio officer for Pan Am Airways
from mid-1930s to World War II, and after the war; married to Esther Kaluhiokalani, then Carol Cooper Paulson; worked for
some time on Wake Island; died in Ukiah, California on March 16, 1983. (Biographical information from donor.)
