Compilation containing texts of royal ordinances promulgated in 1536 and 1567 by Viceroys Mendoza and Peralta on distribution
and measurement of lands; Sáenz's Geometría Práctica, y mecánica ..., a group of three treatises dealing respectively with
interpretation and application of the ordinances on lands, measurement and distribution of water, and mining legislation and
measurements; a separate treatise on legal procedure and accounting in regard to property; an appended guide for judicial
commissioners; and related material. A statement approving the Geometría issued by Crisóbal Guadalajara in Puebla on September
30, 1706, indicates the date of these three treatises and specifies that they were sent from Mexico City. Includes diagrams,
charts, documentary models, colored decorations, and a table of contents.
