Abstract:
Diaries kept by the operator of the Mendocino Lumber Co. sawmill. The diaries comment on the weather, arrival of ships, sawmill
operations, etc. Some accounts included also. The 1854 diary includes a brief account of his voyage via the Isthmus of Panama
to the east coast and his return to California; and 1869 diary, an account of his journey by train to the east and return.
