The George Augustus Howard family, originally from Illinois, migrated to Los Angeles, California sometime between 1881 and
1884. Geoge Howard married Mary Jane Baker (born 1840?) in Livingston, Illinois on December 1, 1858. The Howard's had several
children: Blanche, Carrie (later Carrie Annin), Jennie, Edwin, and Harry. George Howard was widowed by 1880 and married his
second wife, Hester Dickson (or Dixon, 1837-1913), on June 23, 1881 in Cook County, Illinois. They had no children. George
Howard died on May 3, 1912 in Los Angeles, California. Hester Howard died in 1913 and is buried in Inglewood Park Cemetary,
