Henry Hart was born in New York in 1854 and died in California in 1915. He studied medicine, and graduated from the medical
college of Pacific, now part of Stanford University. After graduating in 1878, he started his own medical practice in San
Francisco. He became President of the San Francisco County Medical Society, then a member of the California State Board of
Medical Examiners and served on the State Board of Health.
