Hadley Rea Roff (December 16, 1931-January 28, 2016) was a California native whose political career spanned five decades as a behind-the-scenes go-to guy as a strategist, speechwriter, adviser, operative, crisis manager and consummate insider, serving three U.S. Senators, Diane Feinstein, John Tunney, and Ted Kennedy, and five San Francisco mayors.
