Includes two letters written by him; letters to him from J. H. C. Bonté, John Thomas Doyle, John Greenleaf Whittier and Kate
Douglas Wiggin; notes, prayers and sermons by Stebbins; clippings relating to him; a petition, January 28, 1873, with many
signatures, requesting that Stebbins remain in California, and a testimonial to him, September 11, 1899, with many signatures
and a poem by Bruce Porter; a scrapbook with clippings and one telegram, October 1, 1891, from Stebbins to Leland Stanford
pasted in; two certificates of appointment as Regent, UC, 1868 and 1878.
Also included: letters with poems from Kate Douglas Wiggin and her sister, Nora Archibald Smith, to Stebbeins' son, Horatio
Ward, and letter from UC President Robert G. Sproul to Lucy Ward Stebbins.
