Mainly letters to family in the East relating travels and various aspects of life in mining camps and towns of Nevada in the Reno area and California in the Mammoth City and Bodie area. References to Indian fighting. Material concerning social life of the period; life in San Diego from 1887- 1902. Also includes several letters from friends to Henry Mason, a few letters from his brother, Merril Mason, to the family. Typed transcripts of most of Henry Mason's letters filed at the end of Box 2.
