Diaries recording three reconnoitering and punitive expeditions undertaken by Colonel O'Conor, Commandant General of the Nueva
Vizcaya frontier and formerly ad interim Governor of Coahuila.
Folder 1. Fragments of a diary, 1772-1773, on an expedition, ordered by Viceroy Bucareli and a war council of April 2, 1772,
to examine possible presidio sites and check Indian hostilities. Includes copies of letters exchanged by O'Conor and Jacobo
Ugarte y Loyola, then Governor of Coahuila, regarding the Lipan Indians. 10 p.
