Author Harvey Fergusson was born in New Mexico and settled eventually in Berkeley, Calif. Most of his fiction is set in New
Mexico, including his popular trilogy of novels Blood of the conquerers (1921), Wolf song (1927), and In those days (1929).
His autobiographical novel Home in the West was published in 1945.
