crimes against Mexicans and adulterers; income from his digging; weather, including a huge flood; and the great fire in Sacramento.
Volume 2, (18 p.) April 1 to April 15 1853: describes trip home on a ship to Panama and ending with his walk with other passengers
across the isthmus.
