Harry Wilbur Hobbs (born October 21,1894 in Mifflinville, Pennsylvania ; died December 21,1952 in Houston, Texas) joined the
6th Cavalry (Troop E) at Sierra Blanca, Texas on April 1,1915 and served with it until June 6,1918. He was promoted to corporal
and then sergeant in 1917. During that time he fought in Mexico between April 28 to May 19, 1918. On June 6, 1918, he was
made 2nd Lieutenant, transferred to the 1st Cavalry Regiment, and sent to Douglas, Arizona. On October 15, 1918 he was promoted
to 1st Lieutenant. He was discharged on October 11, 1920 at Camp Harry T. Jones at Douglas, Arizona.
