Abstract:
Photographic prints documenting structural damage caused by California earthquakes in Santa Barbara (June 29, 1925) and Long
Beach (March 10, 1933). Also includes a few prints depicting damage caused by the San Francisco earthquake and fire (April
18, 1906); 37 negatives depicting damage of the Santa Barbara quake; and 2 negatives depicting damage from an earthquake in
San Jacinto (December 25, 1899).
Papers include letters of introduction and other correspondence pertaining to Hall's professional qualifications and activities
as an earthquake engineer. Correspondents include H.W. Hincks, John Bakewell, Jr., Angelo J. Rossi, Hollis R. Thompson, P.A.
Kinnoch and Eugene H. Heald.
