Abstract:

Scenes of frozen and canned food processing, packing, shipping and experimentation including workers, equipment and procedures, at various locations in Oregon, Washington, and California. Factories and shipping terminals depicted are Hershey Packing Corp., Gresham Fruit Growers, Bozeman Canning Co., R.D. Bodle & Co., Kirkland Canning Company, Spokane Street Terminal (Seattle, Wash.), B.D. Mukai & Son., and Allen Packing Corp. Foods include apples, cherries, peas, strawberries, olives, and poultry. Some images attributed to H.C. Diehl.
