Snapshots of family members, friends, leisure activities, social gatherings, homes (exterior and interior), events, and outing
locations chiefly in the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California. Views of a trip to Hawaii are also included. Pictured
are the family home in San Jose, an optician's store and workshop, a San Francisco home, visits of presidents William McKinley
and Theodore Roosevelt to San Francisco, leisure outings to Mt. Tamalpais, Guadalupe Quicksilver Mines, Mt. Hamilton, and
other destinations, summer camps at Larkspur and San Rafael, and trips to Monterey and the Lake Tahoe region. San Francisco
views before and after the earthquake of 1906 are present (including the family's street kitchen and backyard tent), as well
as views of Market Street illuminated at night, and a few crowd views of "labor trouble". Oversize photoprint is a group portrait
of family members in the 1920's.
