Ed Sweeting (Howard Edward Sweeting): born 1906, perhaps in Pasadena, died 2006 in Richmond, Calif.; studied architecture at University of California, Berkeley; during World War II built farm worker housing in U.S. Southwest; established a private practice and later worked for Victor Gruen Associates; avid world traveler, hiker and photographer.
