Views of Alaska, national parks and wilderness areas, and international travels. Some images were part of Sierra Club slide presentations. Among photographic prints are portraits of Edgar Wayburn and his wife Peggy, as well as snapshots taken during travels and while attending various events.

Edgar Wayburn, a doctor by training, was president of the Sierra Club and successful leader of various regional and national conservation efforts. He was instrumental in establishing the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act, Redwood National Park and the Point Reyes National Seashore. He was awarded the Albert Schweitzer Prize for Humanitarianism in 1995 and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1999.
