Abstract:
Chiefly COPY photographs used in the production of various publications by Egenhoff. Includes many images of California's
Franciscan missions used in her book Fabricas; a collection of pictures ... Many photographs are of early drawings of the
missions by Edward Vischer, John Sykes, and others. Also includes a 19th century photographic copy of a portrait of Junipero
Serra, and an original (19th century?) ink drawing of Mission San Miguel, initialled AMN. Also present are images of structures
on Angel Island, of Monterey, and of San Francisco, plus two group portraits (1937 & 1939) of the Sacramento office staff
of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Elisabeth Egenhoff was an editor and writer for the California State Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mines. She
authored books on gold and mercury mining and on the use of mineral materials in California buildings before 1850.
