Sigmund Wohlfeld and Harris Rubin were half-brothers born in Rzeszow, Poland. Sigmund Wohlfeld and Louise Schindler married
and had a son, David, who was born in San Francisco (1866). David became an actor better known as David Warfield. Harris Rubin
and his wife, Minnie Garren, had two sons, Edward and Albert, that were born in the United States. The son of Albert Rubin
and Elsie Fuller, Robert, joined the United States Army in 1940. He was wounded on December 8, 1941, and he died on the Bataan
Death March. Edward Rubin became a member of the Merchants Association and the Rotary Club on San Leandro, where he owned
the Homemakers Store. Edward Rubin's wife, Rose Feingloss Rubin, was also active in the business.
