Eugene D. Commins (July 1, 1932-September 26, 2015) was a professor of physics at University of California, Berkeley. He was
named a member of the National Academy of Sciences in 1987. He was also a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement
of Science, the American Physical Society, and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
