Personal snapshot photograph albums documenting various events and activities pertaining to Cade's life in Berkeley and beyond.
Subjects include activities associated with the 2011 exhibit Lesbians seeing lesbians, held at the Leslie/Lohman Museum of
Gay and Lesbian Art, New York, and featuring the photography of Cade, JEB and Tee Corrine; Cade's 2011 visit to the Lesbian
Herstory Archives in Brooklyn; Oakland demonstrations associated with the Occupy movement in late 2011 and early 2012; and
Strawberry Creek Lodge, Cade's Berkeley senior residential home, with separate albums documenting Cathy's arrival at SCL in
2011 and the everyday social life of Lodge's residents, multiple Black Lives Matter marches in 2014, an event commemorating
the 50th anniversary of Mississippi Freedom Summer, Old Lesbians Organizing for Change (OLOC) national gathering in Oakland
in 2014, a 2015 Grand Renewal Celebration for the facility, and the Lodge's first LGBT celebration, also in 2015. Among the
individuals depicted are Cade, photographer Joan E. Biren (JEB), queer activist and art historian Jonathan David Katz, political
activist Angela Davis, Berkeley mayor Tom Bates, California Senator Loni Hancock, Berkeley City Council member Darryl Moore,
artist Marge Nelson and activist Willie Wazir Peacock.
