authorities from other towns in Coahuila (such as Zaragoza, San Francisco, San Buenaventura, Morelos, Piedras Negras, and
Sabinas) for the prevention of border conflicts. With these, a broadside relating to the creation and purposes of the Commission,

On Sept. 30, 1872, the Mexican government appointed an Investigating Commission of the Northern Border. Its purpose was to
