Abstract:
Consists of operational, financial and historical reports and a reference binder on Mexican mining, as well as maps and diagrams.
The collection focuses on the history and operations of the Sociedad Cooperativa Minero Metalúrgica Santa Fe de Guanajuato
including a report about gold and silver mining in the Guanajuato region. The maps are of the mining operations at the Sociedad
Cooperativa, including the mines and above-ground buildings. There are also maps of the Mexican states that are annotated
with mine locations and other information.

Alfredo Terrazas was born Feb. 28, 1892 in Chihauhau, Chihuahua, Mexico. Terrazas graduated from the Michigan School of Mines
in 1911, with a bachelor's degree in Sciences and Mining Engineering. He spent his career working in mines throughout Mexico.
