The Art Lovers Club of Metropolitan Oakland was formed in 1930 by Yvonne Greer Thiel and dissolved in 1982. The club organized art-related events, administered a no-interest loan fund for its members to purchase art, and supported local art institutions such as the Oakland Museum of California and the California College of Arts and Crafts.
