Abstract:
Petition by Alexander Willard, an American, asking for an extension of a year for working the mines of the Copper Co. in
the Nacozari district of Moctezuma. Referred to higher authority by prefect Martinez on May 31. Order from Pesqueira to investigate
the company's standing. Reply by Espiridion Anza on June 20, 1869, from Manuel Monteverde and C. Ramirez on September 21,
and from an unknown writer on September 29, 1869. Sealed by the Republic of Mexico and the district of Guaymas. (From Eisner

Petition by Alexander Willard pertaining to the copper mine Nacozari in the Moctezuma district, and requesting an permit
extension in order to obtain further land. With note from the prefect of Guaymas dated October 1, referring the matter to
higher authority, and reply by Pasqueira and C. Ramirez, dated October 22, granting a year's extension. With this note, on
October 29 the Guaymas prefect acknowedges this transaction and information. (From Eisner collection)
