Includes snapshots, portraits and press photographs taken of George Atcheson, Jr. throughout his career, including during
his service in pre-World War II China and post-World War II Japan. Also includes photographs of associated figures such as
Douglas MacArthur, Chiang Kai-shek, Patrick J. Hurley and Harry S. Truman; as well as numerous photographs of Atcheson's son
George Atcheson, III taken throughout his life, including while a student at the University of California, Berkeley and while
serving in the military during the Korean War. Also includes commercial photographs and postcards of views taken in China
and Japan; a set of postcards reproducing woodcut prints of Hiroshige; and a cigarette case owned by George Atcheson, Jr.
Additons include miscellaneous views taken in China, leisure scenes, and a photograph album of family snapshots taken approximately
1913-1928.
