Comments on her mother and father, Rosalie and Sigmund Stern and the Meyer, Stern and Haas families; growing up in San Francisco and in Atherton; marriage to Walter Haas; her community services; family's support of Stern Grove; her interest in art and art collections; friendships with Sarah Stein, Ernest Bloch, Albert Bender and others; meeting Matisse, Alice B. Toklas, Henry Moore, etc.; long association with the San Francisco Museum of Art, on women's board and as trustee.
