Note:
Born in Toishan, China in 1911, Gilbert Woo came to the U.S. in 1932. He was founder and editor of the Chinese Pacific Weekly
from 1946, specializing in covering Chinese court cases, immigration, social security, welfare laws, and news about China.
He was a strong advocate of the People's Republic and criticized both the Chinese Six Companys and the Kuomintang (KMT). He
died in San Francisco at the age of 68.
