Record book kept by the club's first secretary, Eva F. Chan, and later, by Hon Chew Hee and Wahso Chan. Includes manuscripts
of the club's constitution, lists of officers and members, and roll call and minutes of meetings from 1930 to 1933, as well
as a participants list for the Third Annual Parilia and Artists' Ball presented by the San Francisco Art Association on March
1, 1935. Also includes newspaper clippings concerning the club and many of its members, including local artists, Dong Kingman,
Hon Chew Hee, and poet, Nanying Stella Wong, with additional clippings from the 1940s to 1984 laid-in.

The Chinese Art Association of America, originally the Chinese Art Club of California, was organized on April 29, 1930 by
six Chinese art students attending the California School of Fine Arts in San Francisco. As a cultural club, its object was
to discuss art, promote art interests among the Chinese people in San Francisco, acquire a better knowledge of Chinese art,
and to establish relations with artists in China.
