The Bay City Paint Company was founded by Puzant Shamlian in 1937. During the 64 years of its existence, the company transitioned
from a business carrying just house paint and wallpaper, to a purveyor of specialized products for amateur and professional
artists. When Shamlian died in 1991 the company was taken over by his son and daughter, Philip and Margaret. The company closed
in 2001.
