Creator/Contributor:
Online Archive of California
Abstract:
150+ black and white negatives primarily of German soldiers, Nazi officials, and Hitler Youth all in uniform. Many appear
to be on parade or in the field. Includes two images of a plaque in Russian and German on "liberation from Bolshevism" dated
July 9, 1941, presumably monument installed by invading German forces on the Russian front. Another negative shows a soldier
in front of signs (in German) for Ostende, Belgium and Lille, northern France; and several others appear to be in Romania.
There are a few images of a young child and a woman, possibly the family of the photographer. Photo envelopes stamped "From
the Collection of Frank C. Perreault." The collection also includes more recent copy prints for most of the negatives in the
collection.
