Scope and Content of Collection
Writings, research notes, and correspondence of the poet Marc Hofstadter (d. 2021), who
taught American literature at Univeristy of California Santa Cruz in the 1970s. Box 1-7:
research notes and correspondence; Box 8: writings, early school papers, UCSC dissertation;
Box 9: correspondence, writings, professional files, photographs, yearbooks; Box 10-22: 13
letter boxes of correspondence, sorted roughly alphabetically. Digital files include the
manuscript "Poems Old and Older: From My Young and Younger Days 1977-2000," and poems circa
2001-2011.
