Son of Émile A. Bruguière and Josephine Sather Bruguière. Studied in San Francisco with Lorenzo Smith and Oscar Weil, and in Berlin with Georges Jacoby. His opera Querida, a lyric drama in two acts, from the play Mother Earth by Francis Powers was published by Costallat in Paris ca. 1911 (plate no. CC 1573). he also collaborated with Richard Henry Warren in The Rightful Heir, a musical satire in two acts directed especially at the conventional comic opera.
