Physical Description: Carton 5, folders 53-58

Arrangement

Original order was maintained.

Scope and Content Note

Correspondence, notes, and the final manuscript of a proposed Sierra Club book project about Clyde's life and writings, to be edited by Fred Fertig. The correspondence is arranged chronologically and includes letters from from Clyde, Fertig, Tom Turner, and David Brower, who was asked to write a foreward to the book. An outline for the book suggests that it would have included a biographical essay, Clyde's stories and articles, his notes on nature, illustrations, maps, "Clydisms," a bibliography, and records of Clyde's climbs. Also included are some of Clyde's photographs, many of which were considered for inclusion in the manuscript.
