Collections, UCSF Library & CKM
Dr. Barber was a native San Franciscan, son of George Brinton Barber and Eleanor Austin
Barber. He attended Lowell High School, and received his D.D.S. from the University of
California College of Dentistry June 4, 1919. He was licensed to practice in California
in June 1920, having been too young for licensure upon graduation.
In September 1920 Dr. Barber opened his office in the Flood Building, where he practiced
until his retirement in September 1948. In 1933 Dr. Barber married Gladys W. Klockars. He
was a member of the American Dental Association and the California State Dental
Association. He died June 7, 1984.
Papers include lecture notes from dental school, photographs, certificates, and fraternal
and other society pins.
