Abstract: Arnold Byron (Wolf) Larson (1901- ) worked for many newspapers and news services in the Midwest and California as a reporter,
editor and columnist. He later went into private practice as a publicist for various organizations and agencies, including
the U.S. Forest Service, for which he initiated a nationwide advertizing program that led to the creation of Smokey the Bear.
The collection consists of minutes of the board of governors meetings of the Los Angeles Press Club, three reports, 20 photographs
and memorabilia.

Los Angeles Record (1925-26), Los Angeles city news service (1929),
Los Angeles Evening Herald (1926-29),
Chicago Herald and
Chicago Examiner (1929-30, and the Chicago bureau of United Press (1930-31); went into private practice as publicist for various organizations
and agencies, including the U.S. Forest Service, for which he initiated a nationwide advertizing program which led to the
