Background
Irving Wright Benton (1888-1952) came to Pasadena from Florida in 1906 with his mother, Lutie Wright Benton and his grandparents.
Lutie Wright Benton was a prominent Pasadena socialite. Irving Wright Benton was married first to Helen May Adams and then
to Lillian A. Benton. At one time Benton was a prominent Pasadena businessman working in sales. He was also the sales manager
at General Motors Truck Company of California.
