Biography
The Hospitals and Clinics Department Managers Conference (HCDMC) was established in 1973 in order "enhance the ability of
the Department Manager to do an effective job within his/her own department in accordance with the goals of the institution,
and to offer the institution as a whole the unique collective resources of the Managers' Group". The membership was composed
of Hospital and Clinics employees recommended by their Director or Assistant Director and who had functional responsibility
for the department.
In order to better reflect the group's purposes, HCDMC changed its name to Managers Advisory Group in March 1984 under which
name it is presently operating.
