Scope and Content
These papers, from the H. H. Bancroft Collection, include the following Bancroft numbers: 35085; 35101;

papers of several governors, relating mainly to Venezuelan wars of independence and to Santo Domingo;
copies of royal decrees and circulars of the governors of Puerto Rico, pertaining to church affairs,
local defence and various events affecting Puerto Rico; material describing places in Puerto Rico; and a
few fragments of baptismal records.
