Biography
Following graduate studies in Food Distribution at Michigan State
University, Paul Fairbrook (b. 1923) became Director of Auxiliary Services at
the University of the Pacific, Stockton (1965). His involvment with public
service led him to a four-year term as Commissioner of the Port of Stockton
(1973-1977). In the course of Fairbrook's term in office an ILWU strike took
place at the Port (1976).
Scope and Content
The Fairbrook Collection consists of: Commission minutes; policy
statements; financial records; personnel records; correspondence; and,
clippings pertaining to the Port of Stockton and its commissioners
(1973-1977).
