Correspondence and diary.
: George S. Phillips, a Methodist Minister, arrived in California in 1852. He preached at the market Street Church in San
Francisco and later was in charge of the female department of the University of the Pacific until 1861 when he returned to
Ohio. He died in Ohio, May 30,1865.
