The Alfred Robinson collection of letters and documents was purchased from John Howell-Books in December 1973.

Scope and Content

Robinson's papers relate primarily to his mercantile ventures and work as agent for Howland & Aspinwall and Pacific Mail Steamship Co. Included also are some Hawes family papers.
