The majority of the collection is made up of material related to the Amache High School and includes essays written by students at the school, War Relocation Authority (WRA) reports and publications, and WRA photographs of Japanese internees in their activities at GRC.

Biography

Melvin P. McGovern was a high school teacher and reports officer at the Granada Relocation Center in Amache, Colorado.

Scope and Content

Collection consists of various reports, publications, photographs, and ephemera related primarily to the Granada Relocation Center (GRC) at Amache. The majority of the collection is made up of material related to the Amache High School and includes essays written by students at the school, War Relocation Authority (WRA) reports and publications, and WRA photographs of Japanese internees in their activities at GRC.
