    Biography

    Francis Martin Hilby was born in Cloverdale, California, February 28, 1860. He went to Idaho Territory his with mother and stepfather in 1867 returning to Cloverdale in 1871. He graduated from Heald's Business College in 1879 and later from the California College of Pharmacy. Hilby was a railway agent in Monterrey from ca. 1882-1890 and a druggist from ca. 1890. He married Julia A. Mayer of Mayfield April 14, 1887. Hilby died June 23, 1918.
