Scope and Content

These documents relating to the government of Yucatán were purchased from E. S. Wallace, Aug. 21, 1963. They include circulars from officials in Mexico City, 1833; acts of the Yucatán Congress, 1840; and some correspondence pertaining mainly to military matters, 1828-1838.

volume Vol. 1

Circulars from government officials in Mexico, 1833, addressed to the governor of Yucatán. Many printed items have been bound in this volume.

volume Vol. 2

Acts of the Yucatán Congress, 1840, including regulations for commerce, nomenclature of fruits, territorial division of the state, plan for the island of Carmen, etc. A few printed items are also bound in this volume.
