Scope and Contents
Collection of material primarily related to railroads, also containing printed material and ephemera about other forms of
transport, including automobiles, passenger ships, and airplanes.
One series contains dispatchers records from Beaumont and Los Angeles, California, as well as Mexicali, Baja California, covering
the period 1936-1954. There are also many reports and plans concerning 19th century railroads in Great Britain, particularly
the Midland Railroad, and engineering plans for bridge and tunnel projects, blueprints of Union Iron Works and gold dredge
designs, and numerous brochures, timetables, ticket envelopes, luggage tags, and other small items.
