These cards have been collected by Library Staff from books donated as gifts to the GTU Library. If, while processing the book for inclusion in the library collection, a holy card is found, it is added to the collection. There is no particular theme to the collection. Various languages are included. Of interest are the older, handmade cards and the memorial prayer cards for John Kennedy and Robert Kennedy.

The collection consists of various types of holy cards and book marks, some handmade. Additions are made at infrequent intervals.

Copyright has not been assigned to The Graduate Theological Union. All requests for permission to publish or quote from manuscripts must be submitted in writing to the Archivist. Permission for publication is given on behalf of The Graduate Theological Union as the owner of the physical items and is not intended to include or imply permission of the copyright holder, which must also be obtained by the reader.
