    Abstract: John Henry Ramboz (1879-1960) served as the representative from San Marino to the Metropolitan Water District Board of Directors in 1933. He was the vice-chairman in 1948, and chairman in 1949. The collection consists of correspondence, reports, graphs, pamphlets, books, photographs, and related ephemera accumulated by Ramboz while representing San Marino on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.

    Biography

    Ramboz was born in 1879 in Los Angeles, California; he entered the banking business in 1903 with Merchants National Trust and Savings Bank of Los Angeles, serving 15 years as vice president and cashier; in 1928 he established a business as financial and business counselor, also serving as president of the Ambassador Hotel Company and on various boards of directors; in 1933 he was appointed representative from San Marino to the Metropolitan Water District Board of Directors; he served as vice-chairman in 1948, and chairman in 1949; he died on November 18, 1960.

    Collection consists of correspondence, reports, graphs, pamphlets, books, photographs, and related ephemera accumulated by Ramboz while representing San Marino on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. Subjects include the San Diego Water Authority and other water districts of Southern California.
