Acquisition Information

The papers of W. Lee Chambers were a gift of Mrs. Harvey T. Anderson on February 20, 1967.

Scope and Content

The Papers of W. Lee Chambers relate mainly to his active interest in ornithology, most specifically to the collection of skins and eggs. They also contain records of the Cooper Ornithological Club of which he was business manager for many years. Glass plate negatives, primarily of Santa Monica at the turn of the century, and miscellaneous printed materials have been turned over to picture and book catalogers for separate cataloging.
