Family and business letters.
George Luman Kingsley was born in St. Lawrence Co., N.Y. in 1827. He came to California in 1851 and was a miner and Wells
Fargo Agent. In 1862 he was in the sheep business in Tehama Co., and in 1866 was a glove manufacturer in Red Bluff. In 1858
he was married to Carrie A. Weston Macomber, the widow of John Macomber. He died in San Francisco, September 18, 1890.
